Hello, I’m Terry and welcome to the Travel Blagger blog!

The Travel Blagger blog brings you the story of various trips I’ve taken on my way to visiting 54 of the world’s wonderful countries.

For me, this blog is just a place to reminisce about some of the places and people I’ve met along the way and hopefully make the idea of backpacking a lot easier and more feasible for you.

In the era of budget airlines and almost worldwide internet connection, travelling the world has never been easier, and I’ve taken advantage of these luxuries more than most.

In 2005, I volunteered on a Tallship voyage around the Mediterranean and from that point onwards I was hooked. By the time I left university, I had interrailed around Europe, coached football in the midwest of the U.S.A and realised my dream of watching my team in the European Cup Final in Athens (the price was having to sleep rough in the Greek capital for two nights).

Post-university, I failed woefully at settling down into normal life in England so I went to teach English in South Korea instead (Korea wanted me more). From there, I backpacked around South East Asia, hitchhiked around New Zealand and hopped around South America after going to the World Cup in Brazil.

I’m now teaching in England and clinging onto the backpacker way of living by getting away in school holidays.

My next trip will be in August when I am off to Central America!
